TIAP – Toronto Innovation Acceleration Partners, is a member-supported, not-for-profit organization created in 2008 to develop innovative research from its Members: Toronto’s top universities, hospitals and research institutes. TIAP identifies, funds, and develops transformative, member-sourced, early-stage innovation into successful Canadian companies. Our portfolio consists solely of technologies in therapeutics, medical device and digital health.

AnGes, Inc., (4563:Tokyo) a biopharmaceutical company founded in December 1999, AnGes is currently supporting the development of a Tie2 tyrosine kinase receptor agonist (AV-001) for COVID-19, viral and bacterial-associated pneumonia.

The CDMRP fills research gaps by funding high impact, high risk and high gain projects that other agencies may not venture to fund. The CDMRP strives to transform health care for Service Members and the American public through innovative and impactful research.

The National Research Council of Canada Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC IRAP) provides advice, connections, and funding to help Canadian small and medium-sized businesses increase their innovation capacity and take ideas to market.

Ontario Bioscience Innovation Organization (OBIO®) founded in 2009, is a not-for-profit, membership-based organization engaged in strategy, programming, policy development and advocacy to further the commercialization of Ontario’s human health science companies positioning Ontario as a leader in the international marketplace.

MaRS is North America’s largest urban innovation hub. Occupying 1.5 million square feet in downtown Toronto, MaRS is a diverse community of more than 120 tenants, including research labs and global tech companies, each selected to create a community that is collaborating on real solutions to important problems.

Genome Canada is an independent, federally funded not-for-profit organization and a national leader for Canada’s genomics ecosystem. Genome Canada invests in genomics research, innovation, data and talent to generate solutions to today’s biggest challenges.

Driving Sound Policy, and Public and Private Partnership: The Medical Countermeasures Coalition (MC2) works to enhance national public health security and emergency preparedness through sound public policy — including supporting domestic manufacturing of pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical interventions as well as the development of vaccines, drugs, and therapies — and building strong public-private partnerships.

The Medical Technology Enterprise Consortium (MTEC) is a 501(c)(3) biomedical technology consortium collaborating under an Other Transaction Agreement (OTA) with the U.S. Army Medical Research and Development Command (USAMRDC) that serves those who serve the USA.

BIOTECanada is the national industry association with over 200 members located nation wide, reflecting the diverse nature of Canada’s health, industrial and agricultural biotechnology sectors.
